AFRICA
(Scroll to bottom of page for photo gallery)
The Dark Continent is still a mystical and alluring place attracting thousands of modern day sportsmen. The safaris of Roosevelt, Hemingway and Ruark may be a thing of the past, however the same captivation exists today as it did in their era. Listed is a sampling of safaris that I offer throughout the African continent. I’ve entailed several that we feel are representative of the country of interest. The beauty of Africa, of course, is the multitude of species available, the numerous ways a safari can be planned and the people, sights and sounds. Africa remains one of the best bargains in the hunting world, especially Plains Game, Buffalo & Leopard.
Any questions, please feel free to ask and I’ll give you my best opinion. Keep in mind that most any safari can be tailored to your specific needs.

SOUTH AFRICA:
South Africa offers the most diverse range of species of any country on the continent. Long known for its excellent plains game hunting, most professional hunters operate on private ranches and concessions that are managed exclusively for wildlife. In addition to wonderful plains game, South Africa also offers fantastic dangerous game hunting on numerous reserves, especially those bordering Kruger National Park and private concessions. Trophy fees on dangerous game tend to be on the high end of the price scale as quotas are limited; however, the quality is often exceptional and daily rates tend to be lower.
Daily rates on plains game safaris average from $300 to $550 per day and on dangerous game they can be $500 to $1,000 per day depending on the operator and location. This is a great destination to take the family and incorporate a hunting and touring holiday. Excursions can easily be arranged to visit Cape Town, Kruger Park, Sun City and many other worthwhile must see destinations.
Most hunters fly into Johannesburg where they clear customs and obtain a temporary firearm permit if bringing your own weapons. You will be met at the airport either by your Professional Hunter or a transfer service for the trip to their operation. If you are required to take a connecting flight within the country you may be able to connect on arrival in Johannesburg or an overnight can easily be arranged that provides airport transfers, etc.
