Maybe more so than anywhere else in the world, sport hunting here can change rapidly.  State and Provincial regulations, severe weather effects and hunting pressure all contribute in determining where to go from year to year.  Some areas that have historically produced the best trophies continue to do so, while others seem to have declined.  Many hunts can be arranged in combination with another species or two; however, some of the best Elk hunts on the market today, are just that: Elk only hunts, with very low success or poor trophy quality on Mule Deer, for instance.  A good way to plan is to have a primary species in mind and consider secondary species only if they work logistically and financially.

If you draw a limited entry permit or have interest in applying for certain species on a draw basis, please contact me and I’ll be happy to offer advice and point you in the right direction.
